1.0 — Launch
BelBuddy is here. From now on Buddy answers the phone for your business whenever you can't. Below is what this first version contains — only the things that genuinely work.
Answering calls
- Buddy answers in Dutch and holds an ordinary conversation with the caller.
- Every call opens with the same fixed announcement: the caller is told the call is recorded and processed by AI. That sentence is scripted rather than generated by the language model, so it is spoken on every single call.
- The caller's name, number and reason for calling are captured, so you can see who rang and why.
Following up over WhatsApp and SMS
- After the call Buddy can send your booking link, so the caller picks a slot themselves.
- Messages go out over WhatsApp or SMS. If one channel fails, the other is used.
- Nothing is sent between 21:00 and 08:00. Messages wait until the morning.
- If someone replies STOP, STOPPEN or AFMELDEN, every channel stops for that person — email included.
Your own environment
- A dashboard with your calls, your leads and the messages that went out.
- A monthly recap with last month's figures.
- A guided setup: business details, trade, phone number, test call and the data-processing agreement, step by step.
Nine trades
Buddy ships with Dutch conversation settings for nine kinds of business, including dentists, plumbers, electricians, hairdressers, estate agents, car garages, restaurants and pest control. If your trade isn't among them, there is a general variant you can sharpen yourself.
Privacy
- Call data is cleared automatically once the retention window has passed; recorded audio goes first, ahead of the text.
- If a caller asks for access or erasure, we carry that out for you by phone number.
- How we handle data is set out in the privacy policy and in the data-processing agreement you sign during setup.

Solo is € 149 per month, Pro is € 299 per month. No setup fee, cancel monthly.
